In the resolving/results of my visit to the casino and experience with staff, I am pleased to report that my items were returned and also a very treasured chambray shirt from 2004 with the Coushatta logo. Not only are they a better quality, but they don’t charge excessive, made up fees.

If you must go to Louisiana casinos, go to Lake Charles. Our suggestion: stay away from this resort. She said to wait a week and see if our bank releases those excess charges. We told the representative that the amount she just quoted, does not add to the $481.66 that was charged. When we called to question this amount and we were told that there was a hold of $50.00 deposit and $177.22.

What appeared on our credit card charge, was $481.66. With taxes, the amount was quoted as $116.63 for one night for two adults. And, finally, we were charged 4 times the amount that was quoted and printed on our reservation confirmation. The car was unlocked with the keys in it and the driver’s window down. Hours later, when leaving, the valet desk could not locate our car. We used the valet parking for the casino, but not before one of us had to go into foyer to retrieve a valet. Second, the campus was not lit properly at night, and made it difficult to see the correct driveways for the various buildings. Not only was it a long drive, but there were no advertisements along the way to indicate if you were going to correct direction. Food and comps are always top notch as are the comps.Not good. Hopefully things will return in years to come? 2 of 3 of the hotels are outstanding (Inn needs to be refurbished). BUT as customers we can only lose so many times in a row. We all know the casino is going to win and must turn a profit. Most of the regulars say they are cutting back as well. We will have to start cutting our number of trips down significantly. Most of the HD machines are empty so revenues must be falling. I have to assume that it is because of the plunge in the oil industry. The days of seeing and hearing people screaming and jumping up from a win have diminished greatly. I go approximately once a month and if you talk to any of the regulars they will tell you the same thing. Unfortunately, the slots are the tightest that I've ever seen them. We just returned from Vegas and all that I could think about is 'I miss LA'. The gaming floor and number of slots simply can't be beat. Coushatta has always been my favorite casino.
